Good Practice, a Poem by Sunitha Mary Mookken

That difficult conversation you dread?
It is good practice for more.
That excruciating situation?
Same.
The next time a difficulty arises, will you be upset?
Yes.
But you will also be,
More composed, more measured in your responses.
You may even see the humor that lurks within.
When things go great for a while,
When plans are 'planning',
When people are 'gooding',
We think "Ah, yes, this is life!"
But that peace, my friend, is the aberration.
Sunitha Mary Mookken has always enjoyed writing, but it took a backseat with work and kids. Now that she is in-between jobs, she has turned once more to the things that comfort her, among which is writing for the sheer joy of it.
