About the founder

The change we seek starts with you and me.

Valiant Scribe is the brainchild of Debra Ayis, an award-winning author and poet.

Debra Ayis has been a published poet since the year 2005. Since first being recognized, she has been published in several anthologies, magazines, etcetera in many countries. She has won 9 awards and has published three collections of poetry.

She has also been invited by organizations, groups, and schools to give talks on poetry and creative writing and is a regular volunteer contributor to Our Daily Bread’s youth branch YMI (Why am I?).

She is also an Advisory Board Member for RenewToday, which works at the nexus of faith, social enterprise, and philanthropy. The organization houses: WeDeliverPeriod, Brooklyn By Faith, and WeWriteLife.
